 How to Shutdown or Restart the Mitel 3300 PBX

 

 
   
 

Important:  Be Sure you have a good backup of the system before shutting down or restarting your PBX

 

3300 Restart Procedures

  • Log into the PBX.

  • Enter System Administration.

  • Go to Maintenance Commands.

  • Enter "reset system"

  • The system will take a few minutes to boot before you will be able to long in again.

 

3300 Shutdown Procedures

  • Log into the PBX.

  • Enter System Administration.

  • Go to Maintenance Commands.

  • Enter "shutdown"

    • System responds with:

      System shutdown in progress...
      .. the system can be powered down safely after 60 seconds.

  • Wait 90 seconds before pulling the power plug or turning of power on power supply.

 

 

3300 Shutdown From the Front Panel or Shell

  • Connect your laptop to the front panel with a serial cable.

    • or Connect via Putty and log into the system.

  • Enter 'appShutdown'

  • Wait 90 seconds and power off

 

 

3300 Scheduled Reboot

This command will restart your system "off hours"

  • Log into the PBX.

  • Enter System Administration.

  • Go to Maintenance Commands.

  • Enter "Prog re dis" to see what current schedule is.

  • Enter "prog re sched <day of week> 2:15"

    • This will schedule a reboot at 2:15 in the morning on the day you choose.

  • Enter "prog re on" to activate the schedule.

SCHEDULE INTERVAL <interval in weeks [1-52]> <MMM> <day-of-month> <hh:mm:ss>
